摘要:High voltage direct current (HVDC) systems based on line commutated converter (LCC) is an effective technique for power transmission of integrating large-scale renewable generations. With the increasing applications of LCC-HVDC, sub-synchronous torsional interactions (SSTI) between LCC-HVDC and thermal power unit causes widespread concern. This paper presents a small-signal model of LCC-HVDC power-sending terminal based on the motion equation concept. Moreover, the interactions between LCC-HVDC and the adjacent thermal power unit shafting are analyzed based on the concept of self-stabilizing/en-stabilizing to explore the mechanism of sub-synchronous oscillations. The results show different effect of different operation points and different controller parameters of LCC-HVDC systems. Time domain simulations in the PSCAD/EMTDC verify the analytical results.
